School Field Trips: Online registration is not yet open for the Fall 2026 to Spring 2027 program year.
Public and Group (non-school) Tours: Registration has been paused while the Foundation plans its next era of public programming at Drumthwacket.
Holiday Open Houses: The schedule is posted in late October or early November.

Under the direction of CUES Co-Director Wolfram Hoefer, student interns developed a plan to showcase the Drumthwacket site as an example of modern sustainability. The features below are now part of the Drumthwacket site:
- Rain Gardens to improve stormwater management
- Meadow Establishment to reduce mowing and allow native plants, wildflowers, and grasses to grow
- Bike Racks to promote effective, convenient and sufficient bicycle infrastructure
- Culinary Gardens to provide an historic reference to Drumthwacket’s agricultural past and feature sustainable growing techniques
- Bee Hives to explain the link between pollinators, food production, and the overall need for bee-friendly habitats
- Compost Pile to produce mulch for the property, and serve as a point of education for sustainable home gardening practices
