Fun fact: To show how well Bubble Wrap® protects fragile items, the Sealed Air Corporation which makes Bubble Wrap® once dropped an 815 pound pumpkin from a height of 35 feet onto layers of Bubble Wrap®.  The pumpkin survived the fall without a scratch.
